Hello, world (again)
This is roughly the fifth personal site I've started. Here's what's different about this one — and what I want it to be.
I keep restarting my personal site. Each time the bar gets lower and the site gets simpler, which seems like progress. This time around the rule is: no frameworks, no build step, no opinions baked in by anyone else. Just HTML, CSS, and a few lines of JavaScript when I really need them.
That's because every project I'd want to show off eventually ends up with its own visual language. Boxing them into a shared template never feels right. So the structure here is simple — a clean shell for writing, and an open garage for projects where each one can look however it wants.
The rules
I'm giving myself a few:
Write when there's something to write. Build when there's something to build. Don't decorate the empty space.
What's next
Probably nothing immediately. The site exists; I'll come back with a real post when I have one. If you want to be notified, there isn't a newsletter — but you can email me.
This is a placeholder article. Replace the file at
/articles/hello-world.html with your real first
post when you're ready.
